Rocky Mountain African Violet Council
Description
African Violet Society of America is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to helping African violet enthusiasts enjoy, grow, and learn more about these beautiful plants. We have been serving the African violet community since 1946, and we continue to bring together growers, collectors, hobbyists, and curious beginners through trusted education, shared resources, and a long-standing passion for African violets. Our goal is to support both new and experienced growers with practical information, meaningful connections, and opportunities to deepen their understanding of African violet culture.
Through our website and member resources, we offer a wide range of educational and community-focused tools for people who love African violets. These include Violets 101 guidance for beginners, science and research resources, our bimonthly African Violet Magazine, publications and educational materials in the AVSA store, plant registration information, commercial vendor listings, affiliate club connections, events, conventions, scholarships, grants, and growing tips. We also stay active through social media, YouTube, and email updates, giving members and visitors more ways to learn, stay inspired, and participate in the broader African violet community.
Whether you are just getting started with your first violet or you have been growing for years, we are here to help you build confidence and enjoy the process. We invite you to explore our educational resources, connect with affiliate clubs, and take part in the programs and events that support African violet growing across the country and beyond.
